Overview

This page explains common issues and system statuses you may encounter during the Bildirt CMP setup and usage process. Most problems are caused by missing installation code, cache effects, or incorrect script placement.


Common Installation Issues

Banner Not Displayed

  • The script code may not be added to the head section.
  • The script may be loading only on certain pages.
  • The cache system may be serving an outdated version.

Scripts Running Without Consent

  • Third-party scripts may have been added directly to the page.
  • Scripts may not be assigned to categories.
  • Default consent configuration may be incorrect.

Consent Logs Not Generated

  • The user may not have made a selection yet.
  • The script may not be loaded correctly.
  • Browser blocking extensions may be active.

Issues Related to Google Consent Mode

Consent Signal Not Updating

  • Cache may still be active after user preference changes.
  • Script loading order may be incorrect.
  • There may be another conflicting consent script on the page.

Warnings on Google Side

  • Default consent configuration may be missing.
  • Consent update may not be triggered.
  • The script may be loading too late on the page.

Check: Test measurement behavior on Google’s side and verify the consent flow.


Status Codes

Status: Active

The application is active and the script is loaded correctly.

Status: Inactive

The application may be disabled or domain verification may not be completed.

Status: Script Not Detected

The system could not detect the installation script on your site. Ensure the script is correctly placed and loaded on all pages.

Status: Scan Pending

Cookie scanning has been initiated but not yet completed.

Status: Scan Completed

The scan has been successfully completed and cookies are listed.


Performance and Cache Issues

  • If you are using a CDN, clear the cache.
  • Minify or defer settings may affect script loading order.
  • Loading the script asynchronously or in the wrong location may cause issues.

If the issue persists:

  • Check the installation script.
  • Review the consent log screen.
  • Check browser console errors.
